“It was our first time doing a professional photoshoot and we weren't quite sure what to expect and were quite nervous at first. Maddie was very easy going and helped us ease right into it. The entire shoot felt very natural and smooth. We did a combination of posed and more candid shots and that felt like a good combination. We found Maddie to be culturally sensitive too; for example, she wouldn't just assume that we would be comfortable kissing in front of the camera... instead she would always ask, which we found very thoughtful! She also was willing to accommodate our ideas, comfort, and interests-- which is always a plus!! “During our recent trip to Kaua'i, we booked a family shoot at the beach by the Grand Hyatt.   After walking up early for a sunrise session, the pouring rain left us feeling disappointed and we planned to reschedule.  However Maddie (our photographer) was AMAZING. She patiently waited with us throughout the storm and lucky enough for us, about 30 minutes later the rain stopped and the sun broke through.  Maddie was super accommodating with us, especially with the unpredictability of our children.  She got beautiful shots including multiple family shots with the resulting rainbow.  She even got a shot or two of the whale that we saw in the distance!
